Disaster!

Last week was a bit of a disaster when it came to photo shoots..

On Friday i had my David Michelangelo shoot, i had well more than enough gray paint with me, (4 tubes.) As i was painting my model, i was adding baby oil to the paint so it would be a more smooth texture on his skin, it was looking good, until it started drying, all around his neck was starting to peel and go patchy and so was the rest of his body.. i decided if i wipe it all off and start again it would probably do the same thing, so i thought to my self "bless photoshop." When we got the the Queanbeyan art gallery it wasn't as i expected, the walls weren't very appealing, but some paintings were quiet nice, i placed my model in front of my favourite painting. While setting up the lights, i noticed there was only one power cord for the multi blitz pack, and what i thought to be an extension chord was actually another power chord, but i didn't notice until well after the shoot. Silly me!! So i was only working with one light, but it ended up being ok because i wanted it to be a moody shoot with half of the model's face and room lit more dark. Although i wouldnt of minded a bit of fill from a second light.
Unfortunately i am not confident enough to put up the final photo on the blog as i am still feeling iffy about it..

On Monday, i had my location fashion shoot, model with a horse.. Me and my model went off to my friends house out in Womboin, when we got there she told me she wouldn't be home for another hour!! so we decided to go back home and come back, which was quite annoying.. anyways when we went back, the horse (Brom) was acting very strange, he kept on kicking his back leg and looked extremely grumpy and wouldn't participate! Renee (my friend) was worried about him and called the vet, the vet said that he probably has this really bad stomach problem where it gets all twisted up. The reason of his kicking is that he is trying to kick his stomach!! Anyways, the vet came, and injected the horse with two needles, one to fix his problem, and another to put him to sleep (not kill him!) so he would be more calm. Poor little thing was all drugged up and looked like he was drunk, stumbling around.. So i had to do without a horse! i worked with what we had around us, i felt the shoot was unsuccessful, but now looking at the images i am a little bit more relieved, although i cant decide which ones i want to use, i need, one full length and one close up of the hat........

I also had another shoot on monday night, a band shoot in the studio, which was dreadful! Jamila + Studio = DISASTER! .. i don't even wanna talk about it!

So here are the photo's from the "horse" shoot, Obviously i need to clean up the hat and everything else in photoshop. I would really appreciate it if people told me which ones they like.. thank you!
